Steinhauer School Connection (SSC) - School Council:
School councils are collaborative groups made up of parents, school staff, principals, and community members who work together to support and enhance student learning. Getting involved in school council is a meaningful way for parents and guardians to contribute to the success of our school community.

At Steinhauer, our school council is known as the Steinhauer School Connection. This group serves as a vital link between parents/guardians, school staff, and the broader community. It plays an important advisory role by offering input on a range of educational matters such as program planning, school operations, and budgeting. 

School councils also:
● Focus on educational priorities and support school goals
● Act as a liaison between families, the school, and community partners
● Help locate resources such as guest speakers and volunteers
● Provide a forum for gathering information and sharing experiences

By participating in the Steinhauer School Connection, families can stay informed, share ideas, and help shape a positive learning environment for all students.

Steinhauer Funding for the Future (SFFS):

In addition to school councils, Fundraising Associations (or societies) are an important part of school communities. Steinhauer Funding for the Future Society (SFFS) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to fundraising in support of our school and students. While school councils provide advice and input on educational matters, fundraising associations focus on generating financial support to enhance student learning and school programming.

The efforts of our families make a meaningful difference, helping to enhance learning experiences and create additional opportunities for all students.  Funds raised- particularly through major events like casino fundraisers—directly benefit student programming. These funds help support:

● Sensory room resources
● Subsidized field trips
● New Chromebooks and classroom technology
● Library enhancements
● Special performances, guest speakers, and school-wide events
● And much more!

We strongly encourage families to get involved and support these fundraising efforts. Every contribution helps strengthen the educational experience at Steinhauer School. 

Get Involved: Meet Other Parents/Guardians and Make A Difference Together, these two groups- Steinhauer School Connection (our school council) and SFFS- work collaboratively to support student success and create a vibrant, well-resourced school environment. All parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend both of these meetings, which are typically held on the last Monday of each month at 7 p.m.in the Steinhauer staffroom. We also offer a hybrid meeting option for those who prefer online.
